NAFEST: Bayelsa emerges second overall best
The Bayelsa State Government has congratulated officials and members of the state council for Arts and Culture for their brilliant outing in the just concluded National Festival of Arts and Culture (NAFEST) in Port Harcourt.
The Bayelsa contingent came second behind host Rivers after showcasing the rich culture and tradition of the state.
While congratulating the victorious contingent onbehalf of the government, the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Daniel Iworiso-Markson said it was a well deserved feat.
He said the Restoration Government is proud of the cultural troupe for always winning laurels for the state and commended them for the latest achievement.
He stated that it was not a surprise that the cultural troupe emerged first runner up out of 24 other states and the FCT, saying the team is made up of dedicated and committed people.
The Commissioner who assured them of the unwavering support of government, noted that the Restoration Administration of Governor Henry Seriake Dickson is excited about the pole position of Bayelsa in arts, entertainment, culture and other areas.
